Dr. James H. Fetzer is the founder of Scholars for 9/11 Truth. However since mid-November of 2006, there has been a split between Fetzer and a series of other researchers and individuals, engaged in a dispute regarding some alternative theories about 9/11, including those of Judy Wood and Morgan Reynolds involving the destruction of the WTC by mini-nukes, high-energy weapons and the so-called “no-plane” theories.
A new group under the banner of Scholars for 9/11 Truth and Justice has emerged which seems to reject the mini-nukes hypothesis and has questioned whether theories about high-energy weapons are testable. Among those is Dr. Greg Jenkins, a physicist out of the University of Maryland who will add his views and knowledge regarding this.

Dr. James H. Fetzer is a founding member of Scholars For 9/11 Truth (S9/11T), a non-partisan association of faculty, students, and scholars, in fields as diverse as history, science, military affairs, psychology, and philosophy, dedicated to exposing falsehoods and to revealing truths behind 9/11.
Founded by professors Jim Fetzer and Steven Jones, S9/11T is devoted to applying the principles of scientific reasoning to the available evidence, “letting the chips fall where they may”.
The members of S9/11T are encouraged to take an active role by devoting themselves to reporting the results of research on 9/11 to the nation and the world by means of lectures, articles, and other venues. S9/11T members are convinced their research proves the current administration has been dishonest about what happened in New York and Washington, D.C.
Dr. Fetzer was magna cum laude in philosophy at Princeton University in 1962, where his senior thesis for Carl G. Hempel on the logical structure of explanations of human behavior won The Dickinson Prize. After being commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant in the Marine Corps, he became an artillery officer and served in the Far East. After a tour supervising recruit training in San Diego, he resigned his commission as a Captain to begin graduate work in the history and philosophy of science at Indiana in 1966. He completed his Ph.D. with a dissertation on probability and explanation for Wesley C. Salmon in 1970.
He has published more than 100 articles and reviews and 20 books in the philosophy of science and on the theoretical foundations of computer science, artificial intelligence, and cognitive science.
