With her then 10-year-old daughter Jolene, Danielle Schenandoah was the very first Native woman to address the United Nations, citing issues such as human rights violations and crimes against humanity. She is well-known and admired all around the world.

Founder for Kahnahiyo Seed Preservation, Oneidas Against Democracy.org, and Tribal Corruption.com are just a few of the groups Danielle is involved with.

Danielle was illegally transported over state lines to a federal jail where her “crime” was described as “native american indian” because she spoke out against the corrupt gambling casino operation of the Oneida Nation. Her children were taken from her and her home was demolished, and she was harassed and denied medical care. Now she’s in danger of losing her apartment for the third time in as many months.

Tragically, a vehicle accident has left one of Danielle’s children, Clarisse, seriously injured and in need of full-time care from Danielle, putting the family in a precarious financial position where they may be forced to sell their home.
